EnergyWeek 2026 Matchmaking brought together 470 participants from 24 countries in Vaasa in March 2026. Organized by the Enterprise Europe Network as part of the wider EnergyWeek, the matchmaking offered an efficient platform for companies and organizations to connect and explore new international business opportunities in the energy sector.
The matchmaking attracted a diverse group of participants, ranging from SMEs and startups to large companies and research organizations. Through pre-scheduled one-to-one meetings, participants were able to present their solutions, exchange ideas and identify potential partners for collaboration. The structured matchmaking format enabled targeted networking and helped participants make the most of their time during the busy EnergyWeek event week.
“Matchmaking takes the guesswork out of networking. As the one-to-one meetings are scheduled in advance through the matchmaking platform, you already know who you’re meeting and why, so you can focus on having meaningful conversations and exploring concrete ways to work together.” says Mari Kivinen, Enterprise Europe Network | Business Turku.
For many companies, especially SMEs, participating in matchmaking is a valuable way to explore new markets, gain insights into industry trends and take concrete steps towards international growth.
