Vastaa ja vaikuta: EU Survey on Cybersecurity
Cybersecurity is becoming increasingly important for companies – irrespective of size, sector or geographic location. Cybersecurity companies face many challenges to develop their businesses and access to finance is one such barrier.
The European Investment Bank Group (EIBG) and the European Commission would like to evaluate the need for a European Cybersecurity Investment Platform (ECIP) to provide additional finance to the cybersecurity sector.
The questionnaire is targeted at companies that are actively engaged in the cyber-security market (micro-businesses, SMEs, mid-caps and large companies). The objective of the questionnaire is to explore options for establishing an investment platform to support the growth of small and medium-sized cybersecurity companies. This would enable these companies to scale up, stay in Europe and compete in the global market. This initiative would also include collaboration with different digital and innovation hubs to provide technical assistance and support to companies. The questionnaire will also look at ways to encourage additional private investment by providing access to, and simplifying, information about the European Union’s cybersecurity market and the possibilities of creating dedicated technical assistance support programmes for investors and companies.
This questionnaire will help to get a better understanding of the cybersecurity ecosystem in Europe, in particular the challenges for companies in this sector that are aiming to scale-up and grow. It will assist with the development of recommendations to support the growth of this important sector. If you wish to contribute to this initiative, complete the survey at this link by Friday 4th March 2022.
